Gaelic & Caithness Showcase, Highland Business College, Thurso
11 - 15 October 2010
This year, we have secured an amazing venue: The Dome within North Highland Business College, and have extended the showcase invitation to Caithness organisations who will promote their products and services, and show the delights on offer within the local region.
Visit the Showcase to see Gaelic & local organisations and talk to them about their products & services. You can also enjoy refreshments in Cafe @ Morven!
The Royal National Mod represents an excellent opportunity for all the visitors, competitors and others attending the Mod to find out more about people involved in providing Gaelic language and Gaelic-related products or services.
Products exhibited regularly at each National Mod include books, CD’s, artworks, photography and crafts. Exhibitors who regularly participate at the Royal National Mod include Comhairle nan Leabhraichean (Gaelic Books Council), MG Alba, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, SNH and The Scottish Parliament.
We are also very pleased to bring you local products and services from organisations such as Tartan Bodices, DM Couture, Mackay Country Project, Felt Creations, Mey Selections & Scottish Natural Heritage.
And a special mention goes to Highlands & Islands Enterprise who will be on hand to talk about their work in the area, and how they support Gaelic in the community.
To underline the 2010 focus on celebrating and enhancing Scotland’s reputation as a land of food and drink, we are proud to bring a variety of local suppliers of Food and Drink to our programme of events during the Caithness Mod.
The location of the Showcase, right beside Thurso High School where many of the Mod competitions will take place is ideally situated to let you come in and see all that is on offer. We hope to see you there!
