Win a Holiday!

Fancy the Chance of Winning a Holiday Courtesy of Mod nan Eilean Siar 2011?

The Mod nan Eilean Siar local committee are about to embark on their latest fundraising drive. The committee are offering the opportunity to win a £1500 voucher for a holiday, through the Co-operative Travel. Along with this fantastic prize will be £500 of spending money and Loganair have generously agreed to pay for the return flights from Stornoway to wherever the foreign holiday departs for.

Tickets will shortly go on sale and will be available via the Mod 2011 Local Committee’s website (www.modnaneileansiar.com), various retail outlets and from committee members. Tickets will also be on sale at various events across the Western Isles over the coming months and of course throughout Mod week itself.

The draw will take place during Mod week (14th to 22nd October 2011), giving people ample opportunity to purchase tickets! The voucher will allow the lucky winner to choose where they want to go, how many people they want to take and when they want to go.

In the last line of verse 3, please note that the word ‘clachan’ is missing an ‘h’ and should be ‘chlachan’. The whole line should read, “O soraidh dhaibh uile ‘s do chlachan mo ghaoil”

In bar 23/24 the first altos should be ray ray mee instead of me me me. The seconds should be doh doh doh instead of ray ray nothing.

Also in bar 28 the second alto last note should be ray instead of me.

Please note that what is in the Òrain na Cloinne (Pink) book is correct – the error was only on some of the Prescribed Lists which were printed in October, which had been amended since then.
